DIMM Board Information

DIMM BOARD MAINTENANCE, INSTALLATION,
AND RETURN INFORMATION
Unless purchased outright, your DIMM Board is the property of VMP and is leased under your Software Licensing Agreement. You are responsible for the care of the DIMM Board until its return. The purchase price of the DIMM Board may be charged to you if it is damaged or lost.

MAINTENANCE INFORMATION
AVOID STATIC ELECTRICITY – Avoid touching or rubbing of the exposed gold colored contacts with other objects including your hands.

KEEP CLEAN - To ensure proper operation, the gold colored contacts should be kept dry and free of dirt.

INSTALLATION INFORMATION
You may follow the instructions provided in your printer manual or those listed below.

1. The printer must be off for installation.
2. Remove the cover of the printer.
3. Loosen the captive screw holding the access door and remove the door.
4. Holding the board so the contacts are facing away from you place your fingers on the side edges and your thumbs on the back edges. Align the notches on the DIMM Board to those in the DIMM Slot.
5. Press the DIMM Board straight in any empty slot. Make sure the locks snap inward on each side of the DIMM Board.
6. Press the lock snaps firmly into place.
7. Replace the access door and cover.
8. Turn the printer on.
   

REMOVING THE DIMM BOARD

1. The printer must be turned off to remove the DIMM Board.
2. Release the locks at the sides of the board.
3. Gently pull the board from printer.
4. Replace the access door and cover to the printer.
5. Turn the printer on.

RETURN INFORMATION
As you may be charged for any boards that are not received, we strongly suggest that you return them in a way that provides package tracking and proof of delivery to the following address:
