Healthcare – SIMM Board Information

SIMM BOARD MAINTENANCE, INSTALLATION,
AND RETURN INFORMATION
Unless purchased outright, the enclosed SIMM Board is the property of VMP and is leased under your Software Licensing Agreement. You are responsible for the care of the SIMM Board until its return. The purchase price of the SIMM board may be charged to you if it is damaged or lost.

MAINTENANCE INFORMATION
AVOID STATIC ELECTRICITY - On the SIMM Board are exposed gold colored contacts. Avoid touching or rubbing these contacts with any objects including your hands.

AVOID DIRECT SUNLIGHT - The SIMM Board contains erasable programmable read only memory chips that need to be protected. Do not place the SIMM Board in direct sunlight for extended periods of time. Normal indoor light may also cause damage if the chips are exposed.

KEEP CLEAN - To ensure proper operation, the gold colored contacts should be kept dry and free of dirt.

INSTALLATION INFORMATION
Due to each printer installation being different, you must refer to our printer’s manual for SIMM Board installation instructions. The printer must be off for installation.

REMOVING THE SIMM BOARD
Do not remove the SIMM Board when the printer is on line. This will cause a printer error message to appear. If this occurs, turn off the printer, and turn it back on. All information in the printer memory will be lost after the reset. Refer to your printer’s manual for proper removal instructions.

RETURN INFORMATION
As you may be charged for any boards that are not received, we strongly suggest that you return them in a way that provides package tracking and proof of delivery to the following address:
